Invite team members to your project

You have a project. Now, it's time to invite others to the party and help you get the work done. Let's take a look at how to do that.

  1. In Team Foundation Service, select your team project. (If you haven't been here before, use Browse all.)

  2. Manage team members from the team project home page.

  3. Add a user using her Microsoft account.

    Type a Windows Live ID and save

  4. Your friend is now a member of your team.

  5. Send her the URL for your project (for example, https://fabrikamfiber.tfs.visualstudio.com/DefaultCollection/FabrikamFiber) so that she can sign in.

    Now, she can log in and update her profile.

  6. The URL will take her to the project home page, where she can add her display name.

  7. TFS recognizes display names once they are established.

    Now, any team member can identify her as a member and, more importantly, give her some work to do!
